About

Hello there! My name is Ashley, and I’m a young wife traveling the country with my handsome husband. His work brings us to random and remote places, but it gives us the chance to see parts of the country I never imagined I would. My blog is a way to document our spontaneous, random, and often times, silly adventures. We are in areas for as long as 7 months, but as short as one. It’s a hectic lifestyle, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am originally from a tiny town 30 minutes north of Boston, Massachusetts. For as long as I can remember, I always had a fascination with the South. I loved their accents, hospitality, lifestyles, and of course sweet tea. I decided to see just how amazing it really was and went to college in North Carolina. Western Carolina University is located in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains, about 45 minutes from Asheville. If you have never been to Asheville, NC, you MUST go! It is an amazingly beautiful city. I met my husband, Nathan, in college and we got married the year after I graduated. He actually grew up near Asheville and his family own a picturesque farm in the mountains. He always jokes that I “wasn’t born down South, but got there as fast as I could.” I do adore the South, but I also miss New England and our “seasons.”

We travel with our two  babies  kitties, Bebe and Luna. I joke with Nathan all the time that if I never found him I’d be a crazy cat lady. Except I’m not really joking…these are my babies who keep me company while I am miles and miles away from my family and he’s at work 10+ hours a day. I never saw myself being crazy in love with pets, but you never know until you get them! They really do hold a special place in your heart.

This is Luna and her "toy." It's a string that fell off of my sweatshirt and she has been obsessed ever since. She'll just sit and stare all adorable at you until you play catch with her.
